Market Review 2008-2009 (Year end 31st March)

The value of OJEU awards published in the year fell by 51% to £34.4m (The number of awards 70 a 17% fall).

The number of invitations issued also saw a significant reduction, 30% to 68.

Local Authorities continue to dominate the market (85% of invitations).

6% Fire Authorities, 1.5% Police Authorities, 1.5% for Quangos, Central Government, PASA, an NHS Trust and a University.

93% of the Local Authorities used Sector as their advisor and 3.5% by Unilink.

The asset types financed were predominantly vehicles, vans, cars, specialist vehicles and park maintenance equipment.
