The value of contract award notices has remained reasonably constant over the last three years £74.5m 2006-7 ( £72.4m 05-06, £75.7m 04-05). However the number of award notices continues to fall, 68 2006-7 (106 05-06, 126 04-05).

At 106 the invitations continued an annual decline indicating draw downs in 07-08 are likely to fall. (123 05-06, 148 04-05)

77% of all contract invitations related to Local Authorities 96% of which were handled by advisors. This represents a fall in the Local Authorities share (83% 05-06). The NHS at 17% showed a significant increase (7% 05-06) with only 6% of the invitations being handled by advisors. The balance of the invitations was Fire Authorities 5%, Higher Education 0.5% and Quango's 0.5%.

The type of asset financed was dominated by vehicles. Market shares for the various lessors can be seen below.
