Public Sector Leasing: April 2008

 

 

The number of invitations issued in April, 4, shows a significant reduction in activity from April 2007 when 27 invitations to tender were issued. Of the four issued all were for Local Authorities, 3 being handled by the advisor Sector and 1 directly by the authority.

 

 

NHS Framework Agreement.

 

NHS PASA is monitoring the leasing volumes of NHS bodies using the national framework and to date this looks very positive. Feedback suggests that the framework agreement is simplifying the procurement process for leasing and making the overall approach to the process more consistent - which should therefore deliver efficiencies and cost reductions.

 

NHS PASA has recently launched the April 2008 versions of a Master Lease Agreement, Lease Schedules and associated documentation. These are the output of a documentation review project undertaken by the NHS and the FLA in conjunction with lessors and lease advisers to ensure consistency and quality of approach to NHS lease contracts.
